"What Are You Thankful For?"

ThankfulWe asked the Spirits of the Bones this very same question. You can listen to this eye-opening Bone Throw using the audio player at the end of this post.

But first, here are some personal thoughts about this question.

Wow! What a weekend! We just completed the first level class of Kay’s new course series and these weekends get more and more amazing with each installment.

The transformation people go through during just this first weekend class is sometimes mind boggling, and always absolutely awesome to watch and experience.

For myself, this weekend was all about our ability for Love, our unwavering gift to give, to share and receive Love.

Love and Joy are our true nature. It’s the most important gift and opportunity we are capable of, without a doubt.

So why are we so intent as individuals and as a group to focus most often all our attention on hate, anger, violence, distrust, belittling, judgment, suspicion, fear, etc.?

Why are our internal dialogues – the things we constantly say to ourselves, the tapes that are running in our heads all day – so little focused on our ability to Love and share Happiness and so much focused on our problems? Problems we are having with others, problems the world is having, the gripes and struggles, the wrongs and the inadequacies of ourselves and others.

Why aren’t we able to see the wonders, magic and gifts of being alive; the Love, the Joy, the Happiness, the opportunities for sharing that Love and Joy and in so doing helping to change the world into paradise for the generations to come?

Why are we so hell bent to focus so much on the “negative” of the world and in so doing create more of it all the time?

There are many reasons for that. Our enormous addiction to the emotional reward for engaging our mask thoughts and behaviors being among the most important.

And, in the end it comes down to choice.

Choosing Love, choosing Happiness, choosing to take the opportunity of every precious moment of our lives and make it a moment of Love. That’s the challenge. That’s the adventure.

Every time we engage our masks, mask thoughts, mask behavior, mask attitude, we deny ourselves the opportunity for Love. We deny ourselves the opportunity to make this world a better place and to live a life of Love, Passion and Joy. We deny ourselves the opportunity for healing ourselves, others and the world.

Every moment of our life is a gift, an enormous gift and opportunity. When we let our masks take control we squander the gifts and opportunities of our lives.

“While you are out running your masks, your life was passing you by.” Among the many things the spirits shared with me this weekend, this statement is likely the most amazing one. The profound impact of this experience is scarcely done justice with these words, what it really comes down to is this: Don’t squander your gifts, don’t miss the incredible opportunity of all the precious moments of your life.

Find the Joy, find the Passion, find the Love and share it, not sometime down the road, not one day – now – make the choice and commitment now and watch what happens.

Download the "Ceremony of Finding Your Song". It’s a free download. Learn about your Song, your Joy, your Passion and live it, share it, be it again.

Every moment, every precious moment, that we don’t live that Joy, that Passion, that Love, is a moment we don’t share it. It's a moment of missed opportunity of monumental proportion.

Life is much too precious to let it pass you by.

This is what I’m grateful for to the Spirits, to Creation, to my loved ones, my friends, our students, our clients, to all Life. They all have and are continually helping me to stay in the moment, to Love and cherish every moment, 'cause it will never come again.

Whatever you are doing this Thanksgiving, truly give thanks, even if you think there is nothing, or little to be thankful for right now in your life.

And, if you feel you have a lot to be thankful for, share the blessings, and the Love and Joy.

And, if you do not live in the US and don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, be thankful anyway.

Enjoy the audio from the Bone Throw.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Love and Song,

Helmut

    Hi Patty,

There was a minor technical problem and your comment ended up underneath a different post than you intended too, but thanks for writing and connecting in the prayer tie sharing.
